The Basics

Chenise has always loved performing and making others smile. She began dancing at the age of four at a local dance studio in Mississippi after her mother wanted Chenise to break out of her shell. Immediately, she was hooked!  After moving to Central Florida, Chenise started dancing competitively in the fifth grade in the techniques of Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater.

Throughout competing, she has won many scholarships and special stand-out awards from well-known conventions such as Tremaine and ThePulse and popular dance competitions. She was also given the opportunity to train with professional dancers from West Africa in traditional African dance.

The Training

While attending Florida State University, Chenise continued her training within the school and through dance companies in Tallahassee, Florida. She also had the opportunity to choreograph for sororities and dance teams.

During college, Chenise was an instructor, choreographer, and judge for the National Dance Alliance where she traveled all across the United States coaching various dance teams. In addition, she worked under the direction of Ashley Adams (former Radio City Rockette), Angela Bowden, and Wendy Crawford (former FSU dance team coach) teaching young adults and children in dance.

The Present

Chenise has been professionally dancing and choreographing since 2014.

Some of her favorite work has been choreographing for the National Dance Alliance curriculum, performing as a featured dancer on Norwegian Cruise Lines, living life as a showgirl in Germany, and most recently, dancing on the television show David Makes Man Season 2 produced by Oprah Winfrey and Michael B. Jordan.

She is currently based in Atlanta, GA where she's an NBA dancer for the Atlanta Hawks, works in communications, and choreographs.

She is always excited for all life has in store for me and looks forward putting her all in whatever she does.
